Organization: Flamborough Connects

Description of Services: Information and referral agency * helps connect people in need to local community services, including:
  • education sessions - senior education sessions provided most months -  topics include health, nutrition, technology, safety, estate planning, downsizing and more
  • Flamborough drives - volunteer driver program for eligible residents who do not have access to public transit * offered in the Flamborough area (Waterdown, Carlisle, Freelton, Millgrove, Lynden, Greensville, and Rockton) - *No Medical Appointments* 
  • holiday gift program - volunteers are matched with Flamborough Seniors or adults with disabilities to bring joy during the holiday season. 
  • income tax program - free income tax program for Flamborough residents with an income of less then $40,000 a year or $50,000 per household. 
  • snow angels - free volunteer snow removal program for low-income seniors or people with disabilities who live in Waterdown
  • wheel of fitness - free fitness class for Flamborough adults and seniors to improve and maintain daily physical functions that promote independence and safety.
