Description of Services: Programs and services for children and adults with communication challenges as a result of neurological, developmental and/or multiple disabilities * services include:
  • communication assessments
  • determining eligibility for Assistive Devices Program funding
  • training and education about devices
  • technical support in client's environment
  • prescribing the most appropriate communication system and access method for clients

Services provided by an occupational therapist, speech language pathologist, rehabilitation technologists, and communicative disorder assistant

Progression level of rehabilitative care for patients working to restore or maximize functionality

Fees: Set fees * publicly-funded services available to those who are eligible * funding may be available through the Assistive Devices Program or other funding sources
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Children and adults with a physical disability * must have a valid Ontario Health Card number
Application: Referral required * physician's signature required to confirm client's diagnosis
