Our BSO HNHB LTC Team has been approved by the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) to embark on the Best Practice Spotlight Organization® (BPSO®) pre-designation journey! We are humbled to be Ontario’s first BSO program granted the opportunity to work towards achieving this highly respected designation.
What is a Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO)?
Best Practice Spotlight Organization® (BPSO®) are chosen to work closely with the Registered Nurses’ Association (RNAO) to put into practice RNAO’s Best Practice Guidelines in order to optimize clinical and health outcomes. The process to become designated as a BPSO takes 3 years. During this time we must implement, evaluate and sustain multiple clinical nursing best practice guidelines and disseminate knowledge from our experiences and outcomes with guideline
What Best Practice Guidelines will be implemented?
- Person-and-Family-Centred Care
- Assessment and Management of Pain
- Delirium, Dementia & Depression in older adults
In 2020 our HNHB BSO LTC Team started the implementation of the Person-and-Family-Centred care Best Practice Guideline. By the end of 2021 and into 2022, the BSO LTC Team will have implemented all three guidelines.
